Hey!
Sorry it's been soooooo long since I've updated but a lot of shit has been happening.
One. I'm trying to get a new job! Yes, retail is no longer fun and it takes up way too much of my time to get anything done. I have an interview this afternoon at a restaurant so hopefully that goes well. BTW, has anyone ever had to take a personality quiz to see if they'll "mesh" with the staff? I think of myself as a straightforward person, I tell it like it is. I guess that must have made me a serial killer cuz I didn't get a call back! I mean they were open-ended questions with only yes or no answers! How the fuck do you respond? "You forget your past failures almost immediately." Well, no! I need to remember them so I don't do it again but I don't dwell on them all the time.
Two. I am trying to write more. Not so much poetry, more prose. The creation myth I posted gave me some inspiration to start some fantasy stories. I will admit they are a little girly right now but I am trying to make it more mature and gritty. I'm rewritng my creation myth as well. Before, I was limited to length but now I want the characters to really develop and try to make it different from anything else I've read.
Three. I'm going to OTAKON!!! YAY! I am soooo excited. I ahd to convinve the people I'm going with to still go cuz so many backed out early. This will be my second con ever. I went to Setsucon in January and had a great time. I am going to try and dress up as Haruhi Suzimiya and my bf is going as Kyon. Like I said, I'm gonna try. I had some other ideas before but I decided I either looked nothing like them, had no good references to go on, or they were way too complicated. I promise to take lots of pics and I'll try posting them ASAP.
So, that's whats going on in my life up to this point. Also I'm taking a summer class so I'll be online a little more often than before.
